Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for July 28

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Wednesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Wednesday on the DraftKings Dream Stream, there are six more Madden 21 sims lined up on the schedule. As usual, the featured three-game classic slate kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET, and Wednesday the first matchup should be a fun one between the Arizona Cardinals and the Cleveland Browns. In primetime at 8:00 p.m. ET, the Carolina Panthers will visit virtual SoCal to take on the Los Angeles Rams, and the final matchup of the day will feature the Baltimore Ravens taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Madden After Dark.

As you build your lineups, be sure to consider the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims, along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers, $8,900 — Jackson has been the most productive player in all of Madden 21, averaging 27.4 DKFP on 151.9 passing yards and 105.9 rushing yards per sim. Jackson had put up over 32 DKFP in four of his past six sims and has that kind of potential even though he was held to 20.36 DKFP in his first matchup against the solid San Francisco defensive unit. There’s plenty of value plays at other spots that make more sense than pivoting off of Jackson, who has dominated in Madden 21.

Other Option — Kyler Murray ($7,400)

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers, $5,900 — If you do pivot away from Jackson, Goff has a high enough ceiling and a good matchup against the Panthers to be a solid option. Goff is boom-or-bust but went off for 27.28 DKFP in one of his four previous matchups with Carolina and has at least 12 DKFP in each contest with the Panthers. Goff struggled against the Giants in his most recent sim but had posted over 17 DKFP in five straight prior to that letdown.

Other Options — Jimmy Garoppolo ($5,400)

Running Back

Raheem Mostert, San Francisco 49ers vs. Baltimore Ravens, $8,300 — Mostert had 120 yards and 39.0 DKFP in his first game against the Ravens and will look to put up another monster game in the rematch. In his 102 sims, Mostert has averaged 21.6 DKFP and scored 102 touchdowns. He is averaging 82.3 rushing yards and 29.8 receiving yards per game and usually adds some PPR points to his biggest performances. He’s the focus of the 49ers’ offense and usually carries a heavy workload.

Other Option — Kenyan Drake ($6,800)

Darrell Henderson Jr., Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers, $5,300 — Henderson has been getting plenty of recent attention since Cam Akers went down with an injury in real life, but he has always been a solid standby as the Rams’ third-down back in Madden 21. Henderson has averaged 11.3 DKFP per sim with 31 touchdowns in 94 sims and posted at least 8.0 DKFP in all four of his matchups with Carolina, highlighted by a seven-catch performance that netted him 19.4 DKFP.

Other Options — Kareem Hunt ($4,800)

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals vs. Cleveland Browns, $5,900 — Hopkins has been hit-or-miss at times depending on how much Kyler Murray ($7,400) runs instead of throws. When Hopkins gets volume, though, he can come up with big games. He had one of those games with 25.7 DKFP against the Browns in one of their three previous contests and had at least 9.0 DKFP in each meeting. He comes in on a nice roll with a touchdown in three straight sims and over 10 DKFP in nine of his past 10 contests.

Other Option — Robert Woods ($6,400), Odell Beckham Jr. ($6,300)

DJ Moore, Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams, $5,300 — Moore has been solid as the Panthers’ WR1 and has three touchdowns over his four most recent sims. He has averaged 12.5 DKFP per sim and has put up especially good totals against the Rams with 10.6, 10.7, 20.7 and 24.5 DFKP in their previous four sims.

Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers, $4,300 — Brown has often underperformed despite his WR1 status for the Ravens, but his speed always gives him a high ceiling. He reached that ceiling with five catches, 119 yards, a touchdown and 25.9 DKFP against the 49ers in their earlier meeting and has at least three catches in four of his past five games including 23.3 and 26.7 DKFP during that run.

Other Options — Jarvis Landry ($5,800), Curtis Samuel ($4,900), Kendrick Bourne ($4,500), Robby Anderson ($3,800)

Tight End

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers vs. Baltimore Ravens, $5,100 — Kittle is typically very involved in the 49ers’ offense and has averaged 5.1 catches for 61.3 yards per sim while scoring 38 times in 101 sims. He had at least six catches in seven straight sims before slowing down in his most recent contest and should bounce back with another heavy workload against the Ravens.

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers, $4,000 — Higbee isn’t usually as heavily involved as Kittle is, but he also has a high ceiling in this favorable matchup. He has averaged 10.6 DKFP over his 95 sims and has at least three catches in seven straight sims. Against the Panthers, he had one ceiling game of 26.9 DKFP and has been quiet in their other meetings.

Other Option — Maxx Williams ($3,900), Ian Thomas ($3,800)

Rams DST vs. Carolina Panthers, $2,900 — The Rams have a great pass rush led by Aaron Donald, who just earned his fifth straight year in the 99 club. He has led the Rams to 177 sacks and 50 takeaways in their 98 sims, and they have double-digit DKFP in two of their past three games and one of their previous matchups with the Panthers as well.

49ers DST vs. Baltimore Ravens, $2,800 — The 49ers will face a tall task trying to slow down Jackson, but they have some stars as well which gives them sneaky upside. San Francisco has 50 takeaways in their 102 sims and has totaled 215 sacks as well, making this defense a solid pivot if you think the Rams will be too chalky.
