Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for July 31

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Saturday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

On Saturday night, the DraftKings Dream Stream has three more Madden 21 sims on tap to give everyone a chance for some fantasy football fun. At 6:00 p.m. ET, the action starts with the Buffalo Bills visiting the Washington Football Team. In primetime, the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Atlanta Falcons at 8:00 p.m. ET, and the final game of the night kicks off at 10:00 p.m. ET, when the Denver Broncos host the New Orleans Saints in the virtual Mile High City.

As you build your lineups, be sure to consider the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims, along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills at Washington Football Team, $7,000 — Allen’s rating in these sims doesn’t reflect all of the progress he made during last season, but he has still been very good in this specific matchup, posting over 20 DKFP in each of his past four meetings with Washington, including 29.52 DKFP when these two teams met three sims ago. He has over 19 DKFP in three straight and seven of his past 10 sims. Allen is averaging 164.4 passing yards and 63.3 rushing yards per sim while totaling 150 touchdowns over his 101 sims.

Other Option — Matt Ryan ($6,700)

Value

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos, $6,400 — The Broncos’ secondary has been one of the worst in all of Madden 21, so this is a great matchup for Brees. He had 399 yards and 30.96 DKFP against the Broncos in their most recent meeting and over 16 DKFP in two of his three earlier meetings as well. Brees doesn’t add rushing production like Allen but has averaged 263.8 passing yards per sim to go with 184 touchdowns in 111 sims.

Other Option — Ben Roethlisberger ($5,800)

Running Back

Stud

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos, $8,100 — Even though the Saints’ passing game has been effective against Denver, Kamara has also had big games with over 22 DKFP in three of their four previous matchups. He is one of the most involved RBs in all of Madden 21 as a pass-catcher, averaging 4.1 catches per sim and has scored a total of 96 times in 111 contests, including seven times in his six most recent sims.

Other Options — Todd Gurley II ($7,400), J.D. McKissic ($6,900)

Value

Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Atlanta Falcons, $4,700 — The Steelers use a timeshare in their backfield with James Conner ($5,000) and Samuels splitting work. Samuels gets most of the passing down responsibilities and has had multiple catches in 11 of his 12 most recent sims. He has averaged 7.5 DKFP per sim during that stretch and has been over that average in four of his most recent five sims.

Other Option — Phillip Lindsay ($5,300)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos, $6,000 — Thomas is the only WR in Madden 21 that received a perfect 99 overall rating in the ratings used for these sims, and he has been very solid overall with 69 scores in 111 sims. In this great head-to-head matchup against Denver, he posted double-digit catches in two of four previous meetings, resulting in 39.4 and 29.0 DKFP. He has that kind of ceiling once again, and at only $6K, he’s another member of the Saints to consider marching in your lineup.

Other Option — Julio Jones ($7,000), JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,700)

Value

Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team vs. Buffalo Bills, $5,200 — McLaurin is Washington’s WR1 and comes with plenty of upside due to his good speed rating. He typically can avoid X-factor Superstar CB Tre’Davious White since he works out of the slot and has posted multiple catches in each of his previous meetings with Buffalo. He also has at least three catches in 21 straight sims with over 13 DKFP in three of his past four.

James Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Atlanta Falcons, $4,200 — Washington has been boom-or-bust as the Steelers’ WR3, but the Falcons’ secondary has given up plenty of big plays, making Washington a cheap play with good upside in this contest. He has multiple catches in 11 of his past 14 sims with over 11 DKFP in four of his nine most recent contests. Overall, he is averaging 8.0 DKFP on 2.9 catches for 37.5 receiving yards per sim.

Other Options — Stefon Diggs ($5,800), Tre’Quan Smith ($5,100), Jerry Jeudy ($4,000), Russell Gage ($3,600)

Tight End

Stud

Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Atlanta Falcons, $5,400 — Ebron leads the TEs on this slate with an average of 12.8 DKFP on 4.9 catches for 54.0 yards per sim and a total of 40 touchdowns. The Falcons have given up big games to opposing TEs, so Ebron should be set up for more success if he keeps getting so many targets.

Other Option — Hayden Hurst ($4,900)

Value

Jeremy Sprinkle, Washington Football Team vs. Buffalo Bills, $4,200 — Sprinkle had six catches in each of Washington’s recent matchups with the Bills, producing 17.6 and 13.9 DKFP. He had at least five catches and produced double-digit DKFP in three of his four most recent sims as well, setting him up to continue his strong results in this specific head-to-head matchup.

Other Option — Noah Fant ($3,500)

DST

Stud

Steelers DST vs. Atlanta Falcons, $3,200 — There Steelers have been one of the best DST plays in all of Madden 21, producing 6.3 DKFP per contest on 201 sacks and 102 takeaways in their 104 sims. This will be their first matchup with the Falcons in all of Madden 21, but they are well-stocked with playmakers at every level of the defense, so they always have a very high ceiling.

Value

Saints DST at Denver Broncos, $2,700 — The Broncos’ offense hasn’t been much better than their defense and often struggles to move the ball. The Saints’ DST doesn’t force many turnovers but has totaled 12 sacks in their four earlier matchups with Denver and 214 sacks in their 111 sims overall. They should be able to get pressure once again making them a low-risk cheap play in the late game.
