Last week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational was memorable for the three-way playoff that was needed to determine a winner, but the Wyndham Championship doubled the effect this past weekend. Sunday’s round managed to end with six players tied for first, and it took two playoff holes for Kevin Kisner to ultimately secure the win. The result produced a five-way tie for second between Roger Sloan, Adam Scott, Branden Grace, Kevin Na and Si Woo Kim. This was an especially unique result in the Fantasy Golf World Championship since Kisner was the only player of this group that carried more than five percent ownership in the 100-player second round contest for the FGWC.

Wyndham Championship Results
As mentioned above, the ownership percentages on all six of the the golfers who were in the playoff were relatively low, and a few of the “chalk” golfers were the ones who barely missed out on this unprecedented scenario. Webb Simpson and Russell Henley both finished T7 while being just one stroke back of the leaders, and they were 75 and 36% owned, respectively. Henley’s performance was particularly notable — he led for most of the week but made four bogeys on the back 9 of his last round and lost his chance at first place. It was eerily reminiscent of the way Harris English impacted the standings the week prior.
