The Colts are big underdogs, and the public is backing the Saints in a big way.

The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints square off on Monday Night Football to close out Week 15 in a key matchup for both teams. The Colts need a win to hang around the AFC wild card race, and the Saints need a win to hang around the race for a first round bye in the NFC.

The betting public generally thinks the Saints should roll in this game. 78 percent of the handle and 66 percent of tickets bet on the point spread are on the Saints, who are currently down to -8.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The line climbed as high as 9.5 points, so it’s interesting to see it come back down in spite of the heavy money on the Saints. Maybe some sharper money landed on the Colts recently.

75 percent of the money bet on the money line is on the Saints, but it’s worth noting 60 percent of tickets bet on the money line is on the Colts. The handle is a more important number, given that you could have 10 people bet $10 on the Colts and 1 person bet $100 on the Saints and that events out.

The biggest split is on the point total. It currently sits at 47.5. 88 percent of the handle and 85 percent of the tickets bet have been on the over. Both teams are dealing with significant injuries on the defensive side of the ball. The Colts will be without cornerback Kenny Moore and cornerback Pierre Desir is banged up. The Saints will be without defensive end Marcus Davenport, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, and safety Vonn Bell, which will likely create problems against the Colts offense.

The Colts and Saints square off on Monday Night Football with Indianapolis needing a win slightly more than New Orleans. We break down all the key odds for the conclusion to Week 15.

The Colts lost a slugfest against the Buccaneers in Week 14 by a score of 38-35, giving them their second straight loss. The Saints also lost a heartbreaker against the 49ers by a score of 48-46 in the final seconds of that game. The win by the 49ers snapped a three-game winning streak for the Saints at the time.

As underdogs, the Colts have done well against the spread this season with a 3-2-2 record heading into Week 15. Even with limited weapons at his disposal, Jacoby Brissett has averaged 233 passing yards and three touchdowns over his last three games. The Saints have been very generous to opposing quarterbacks, allowing an average of 263 passing yards and 23 total touchdowns thrown. While T.Y. Hilton remains questionable, Brissett will rely on the likes of Zach Pascal, Marcus Johnson and Jack Doyle. The tight end position has found success against the Saints as of late, averaging 52 yards and two touchdowns over the last three weeks. Unfortunately, it’s another tough week for the recently returned Marlon Mack, who faces a Saints run defense that’s allowed a total of 877 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground, both of which are amongst the lowest in the league.

When the Saints are favored in a game, as they are this week, they’re 4-4 against the spread. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them with a little extra spring in their step after a very tough loss last week. The Saints are 2-0 ATS after a loss this season and have covered by an average of 11.5 points. Despite the loss, Drew Brees delivered his best performance, completing 72.5 percent of his 40 pass attempts for 349 passing yards and five touchdowns. The Colts have been a team you can thrown on, allowing an average of 261 passing yards per game. It’s hard to think they’ll have an answer for Michael Thomas, who no one has had an answer for quite frankly. Seeing CB Pierre Desir in coverage isn’t going to help the Colts much, as Desir has allowed a 66.7% catch rate for an average of 16.7 YPR and four touchdowns. Despite the large spread, the Saints could have some issues running the ball against a strong Colts run defense thats only allowed 100+ rushing yards three times this season and only four rushing touchdowns.

The Bills and Steelers face off in this Week 15 NFL matchup. All pertinent betting information is contained inside.

Buffalo is coming off of a hard-fought loss to the Ravens, and have played better football than folks are giving them credit for in the media. Yes, the schedule has been poor, but the Bills have been taking care of business. They have a +62 point differential, good for eighth in the league, and have played fantastic defense. Their unit currently ranks fifth according to Football Outsiders DVOA. The offense has not been fantastic, but probably better than most thought it would be entering the year. They are 22nd in offensive DVOA, including 12th in rushing. The Bills average the 19th most yards per play. Josh Allen continues to improve as an NFL quarterback, raising his adjusted net yards per pass attempt to 5.75, an increase of over 30%

All odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and all odds subject to change.

What the Steelers have managed to do this year without Ben Roethlisberger is nothing short of remarkable. Pittsburgh has won seven of their last eight games, and control their own playoff destiny. Devlin Hodges is 3-0 as a starter, and has a 7.34 adjusted net yards per pass attempt. That would put the Steelers inside of the top 10 on the year. Of course, he is not being featured in the offense, with his maximum attempts at 21, but he has managed to make chunk plays in the passing game while limiting turnovers. That is really all he needs to do so long as the Steelers continue to play elite defense. They rank third in defensive DVOA, allow the third-least yards per play, and have the highest pressure percentage in the NFL.

The Jaguars and Raiders face off in this Week 15 NFL matchup. All pertinent betting information is contained inside.

Jacksonville has seen their playoff hopes dissipate, losing five straight games. The rest of the season will instead serve as an audition for rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew, who has out-played overpriced veteran Nick Foles, and would like to assert himself as the starting quarterback heading into 2020. Jacksonville ranks 26th in Football Outsiders offensive DVOA, but have played better with Minshew on the field. Minshew is averaging 0.8 more yards per pass attempt, and both turned the ball over and been sacked less frequently. This offense should trend upwards down the stretch. Defensively, the Jags are all the way down at 29th in DVOA, including 31st against the run. That could be a problem against a Raider team that is third in rushing rate when the game is within a touchdown.

All odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and all odds subject to change.

Oakland is also on a losing streak, but this one is a little shorter than Jacksonville’s (three games). The team is still somewhat potent on offense, ranking 11th in offensive DVOA, 10th in yards per play, and ninth in adjusted net yards per pass attempt. The issue is a defense that has been getting obliterated all year. The Raiders are 31st in defensive DVOA, allow the third most yards per play, and the highest adjusted net yards per pass attempt.

The Browns and Cardinals face off in this Week 15 NFL matchup. All pertinent betting information is contained inside.

The Browns’ season is, for all intents and purposes, over, but they are still a young team with a lot that needs to be built upon. They certainly aren’t throwing in the towel. Despite all the talent that they have, Cleveland has been a middling team all year. They rank 19th in Football Outsiders offensive DVOA, and are 16th in defensive DVOA. Baker Mayfield has taken a step back in the second year of his career. Last year he posted a 6.77 adjusted net yards per pass attempt, but it has dropped to 5.28 this season. He has played far better over the past six games, and could keep that momentum to finish the year. Helping the cause is the return of tight end David Njoku, one of the best young players at the position.

All odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and all odds subject to change.

Arizona got a coaching and quarterback upgrade in the off-season, but the roster is still overall very bereft of talent. The team has a league-average offense, ranking 15th in offensive DVOA. This is a testament to the ability of Kyler Murray, but unfortunately does not help the team at all on defense. They are 28th in defensive DVOA, and tied with the Raiders for allowing the highest adjusted net yards per pass attempt this season.

The Vikings and Chargers face off in this Week 15 NFL matchup. All pertinent betting information is contained inside.

The Vikings are part of a very tight NFC playoff race. They are just a game behind the Packers for the NFC North crown, and currently are in the lead for the second wild card spot. Despite the struggle they are facing to even make the playoffs, this is one of the best teams in the league, coming in fifth in the entire NFL in point differential. Minnesota is top 10 in both offensive and defensive DVOA according to Football Outsiders, and are also top 15 in each individual component of DVOA (passing and rushing). The Vikings also lead the league in adjusted net yards per pass attempt.

Their +38 point differential is 12th in the league, and better than four different teams with winning records. The next-closest point differential by a team with a losing record is the Colts (6-7, +1). The Chargers are 10th in offensive DVOA, and third in offensive yard per play. The issue has been their defense, which ranks 21st in DVOA, and has struggled for much of the year. That could be changing now that All-Pro safety Derwin James has returned. Los Angeles is allowing almost three full yards less per pass attempt, and over a yard less per carry since getting James back on the field.

Wentz and the Eagles continue to fight for a playoff spot. Will Haskins ruin the fun? We break down notable odds, including the point spread, trends, and ATS history.

Ah, the NFC East, where all of the teams compete to be as bad as they possibly can be. This season, Washington and New York have been the most successful in being terrible, but Philadelphia and Dallas are trying their best to keep up. Alright, I’ll tone it down with the division bashing. The Eagles actually showed some resilience last night as they overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat the Giants in overtime on Monday night. It’s an encouraging sign for a team that’s trying to make a playoff push. This week, they’ll get another opportunity to pick up a division win in Washington.

The point total is one of the lowest of the week, and that’s completely justifiable. At 40.5 points, I’m actually surprised it’s that high. Washington’s offense has been the least productive of any team this season, averaging just 262.4 yards and 14.5 points. The rush game is only averaging 60 yards less than the pass game, which is bad news as it goes up against one of the league’s best rush defenses. Dwayne Haskins (DFS salary $4,600) will be forced to throw, something that he doesn’t quite have the confidence in doing too often yet.

The Eagles are dealing with an array of injuries, which explains why the spread isn’t bigger. Nelson Agholor ($4,000) and DeSean Jackson (on IR) were out last week, leaving the Eagles thin at wide receiver. Then, Alshon Jeffery ($6,000) injured his foot in the second quarter and didn’t return. Jordan Howard ($4,900) is also dealing with an ailment. These two teams started their seasons against each other, with the Eagles winning 32-27. Considering the dwindling supporting cast around Carson Wentz ($6,200) and the lackluster Washington offense, I think we can expect a low-scoring Eagles victory this time around.

Eli Manning remains the Giants QB. Can Saquon break out of his sophomore slump against a terrible Miami run defense? We break down notable odds, including the point spread, trends, and ATS history.

Two of the league’s worst teams face off in New York this weekend, something that also happened last weekend. The Dolphins remain at MetLife Stadium for the second week in a row as they take on the Giants on Sunday. Despite Jason Sanders’ seven field goals, the Jets outlasted the Dolphins with a game-winning field goal of their own. Meanwhile Eli Manning (DFS salary $5,200) filled in for the injured Daniel Jones and gave up a 14-point halftime lead to the Eagles, losing in overtime. With both teams suffering painful losses last week, hopefully that will spark some fight in them, but it’s hard to get excited about a game like this.

As of now, the Dolphins are underdogs and that’s where I’ll be attacking. While they haven’t been playing “well,” the Dolphins have won half of their last six games. And no, Ryan Fitzpatrick ($6,200) hasn’t been good, but he isn’t afraid to throw the ball. That’s exactly how to exploit this struggling Giants defense. Although the health statuses of DeVante Parker ($6,400) and Albert Wilson ($3,500) are up in the air as they move through concussion protocol, Fitzpatrick will use whatever weapons he has at his disposal.

If the Dolphins can put any pressure on the Giants, much like the Eagles finally did in the fourth quarter, Manning will have a hard time getting his offense moving. Miami’s defense is equal second in allowed rushing yards per game, so Saquon Barkley ($7,700) should see plenty of usage. Sadly, it seems like Saquon’s in a bit of a sophomore slump with only two 100+ rushing yard performances this season, and without a touchdown since October. We can mostly attribute that to injury issues and just being a part of a terrible team. And while this is a get-right game for him and the Giants, I don’t think it will result in a big win. I’ll take the Dolphins to cover.
