We’ll be tracking the results from UFC 250, headlined by Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer.

UFC 250 is taking place at the organization’s Apex facility in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 6th. This marks the first UFC PPV event in Las Vegas since the company restarted its events during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The card is headlined by Amanda Nunes defending her featherweight title against Felicia Spencer. Raphael Assuncao and Cody Garbrandt are squaring off in a bantamweight bout some are calling a co-main event.

There are five fights on the main card, four on the preliminary card, and three on the early preliminary card. Ian Heinisch and Gerald Meerschaert almost didn’t happen on the preliminary card, but things were cleared up with Heinisch’s corner man, and the fight is back on.

We’ll be tracking all the results tonight, providing the winner and how they secured their victory. Follow along throughout the evening!

Alonzo Menifield meets Devin Clark in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 250 on June 6th. We break down how the betting public is picking the fight.

Update 7:30 pm: Devin Clark wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

Update 3:30 pm: We’ve got updated DraftKings Sportsbook betting splits for Menifield-Clark money line odds a few hours before UFC 250 gets going. 72 percent of handle and 78 percent of bets are on Menifield, who is -235, to Clark’s +183 on fight day.

It’s not if Alonzo Menifield is expected to knockout Devin Clark tonight at UFC 250, it’s when.

The 32-year-old light heavyweight is 9-0 in his MMA career with eight KO’s and one submission. Though he hasn’t been in the ring in a year his terrifying destruction of opponents so far, including an eight-second win in Dana White’s Contender Series, makes him a big favorite over the more-experienced and quality resume of Clark.

Menifield is getting 75% of the bets and 86% of the cash to knock out Clark despite being laid a negative price at -143. If Clark is to get the victory, it’s expected to take 15 minutes: He’s getting +350 with 2% of bets and 6% of handle to have the judges name him the winner.

UFC 250 kicks off a 12-fight card starting at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+. We’ve got picks and lineup strategy to help you in the DraftKings MMA Million contest.

Tonight’s UFC 250 card has plenty of ways to get down action, but if you can figure out who is going to win, and how, you’ll be a big winner in DraftKings MMA Million, which has a $1 million guaranteed prize for first place, and a $2.5 million pool overall, for just a $25 entry.

Each fighter has an assigned salary, and a will have six fighters and must not exceed the salary cap of $50,000. And with a premium on stopping your opponent early, picking some strikers that can end things in one round or less would be a great way to advance to the top of the table.

Here’s how the scoring works, and notice how heavily it leans towards winning big and early:

Moves

Significant Strikes: +0.5 Pts
Advance: +3 Pts
Takedown: +5 Pts
Reversal/Sweep: +5 Pts
Knockdown: +10 Pts

Fight Conclusion Bonuses

1st Round Win: +90 Pts
2nd Round Win: +70 Pts
3rd Round Win: +45 Pts
4th Round Win: +40 Pts
5th Round Win: +40 Pts
Decision Win: +30 Pts

So with that knowledge, here are our best bets for UFC 250’s MMA Million at DraftKings:

Alonzo Menifield ($9,000)

Menifield is 9-0 as an MMA fighter, all nine have been by stoppage, and eight of those are by TKO. He had an eight second win over Dashawn Boatright in Dana White’s Contender Series. Yes, they touched gloves. He lands 8.39 significant strikes per minute, with two first-round knockouts in his only fights on the main roster. He’s yet to see the second minute of a second round in his career. He’s a pure terror, and he’s fantasy gold. With apologies to Devin Clark, a good fighter, there’s a strong chance he gets run over tonight.

Gerald Meeschaert ($7,800)

The fight that was on-then-off-then-on again because of a Covid-19 test from Ian Heinisch’s corner team might all lean in the slight underdog’s direction. Meerschaert has a 31-12 record, with a whopping 23 of his wins via submission. He’s got a 43% takedown accuracy mark since joining the UFC in December of 2016, and will have a five-inch reach advantage on Heinisch.

If there’s fantasy value to be had in this fight, it’s for sure in Meerschaert. He’s +105 to win on the moneyline, and if he does win it will very likely be by submission. Finding a stoppage win from someone on the bottom half of the salary cap roster is always a good thing in MMA DFS.

Herbert Burns ($8,900)

He’s 10-2 in his career with eight stoppages, seven by submission, and his only career knockout came via first-round knee strikes against Nate Landwehr in his first UFC bout in January. Burns now can commit to the sport full-time with his brother Gilbert’s training camp and team in his corner, and it seems to be terrific for his development. He can finish this one against an active Evan Dunham early.

Is there value at light heavyweight between Alonzo Menifield and Devin Clark at UFC 250? Yes. And lots of it.

The most-exciting young fighter in the light heavyweight division in undefeated Alonzo Menifield takes on Devin Clark at UFC 250 on Saturday, June 6th in Las Vegas. But is there DFS value in this fight? Oh yes there is.

DraftKings DFS Values

Alonzo Menifield: $9,000
Devin Clark: $7,200

Menifield is 9-0 as an MMA fighter, all nine have been by stoppage, and eight of those are by TKO. He got to the UFC after an eight second win over Dashawn Boatright in Dana White’s Contender Series. Yes, they touched gloves. He’s a pure terror. And he’s fantasy gold.

Clark is a solid fighter at 11-4 career, but his 51.8 fantasy points per fight are terrible, and he has no stoppages in his 5-4 MMA career. The “Brown Bear” will attempt to get Menifield on the mat before getting knocked out. But that seems an unlikely proposition.

We see absolutely no way you can’t have Menifield on your roster on Saturday night. And don’t blink as you might miss him scoring points for you before it’s over.

Felicia Spencer of Canada poses on the scale during the UFC Fight Night weigh-in at Rochester Riverside Hotel on May 17, 2019 in Rochester, New York.

We’ve got a full breakdown of all the betting splits as to how the fights will finish at UFC 250 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

UFC 250 is one day away, with a main event featuring Amanda Nunes defending her featherweight title against Felicia Spencer. The 12-fight card gets underway just after 6 p.m. on ESPN, with the main card airing on ESPN+ as a PPV.

DraftKings Sportsbook has a full list of odds for the event, and on Friday, we got a look at how people are betting on the winning method for 11 of the 12 fights. Plenty of bettors will put money down on who will win each fight outright. It takes a little more panache to not only analyze who will win, but also how that person will secure victory. Some are a little more obvious than others, but fights can be unpredictable.

Below is a look at betting splits on each fight, and we wanted to highlight some of the more interesting numbers. We don’t have numbers for Ian Heinisch vs. Gerald Meerschaert because it was pulled from the sportsbook when it was uncertain if the fight would happen.

It looks like the sharp bettors are aware that if Spencer hits her Hail Mary and wins this fight, it won’t be from the judges. The Canadian “Fee-Nom” is getting 5% of handle and 6% of bets on a KO/TKO/DQ win at +1800, which seems the sharper bet than a +1200 win by decision.

Undefeated Sean O’Malley has an 11-0 record, and eight stoppages in his UFC career. It’s why he’s getting 75% of the bets and a whopping 91% of the handle at -118 to end Eddie Wineland early. But while the 35-year-old Wineland, with a 24-13-1 MMA record, is a significant underdog at +360, he might be able to survive the distance here: only seven of his 13 defeats were stoppages. There might be more value in O’Malley by decision at +225 instead, where just 5% of the handle is right now.

Alonzo Menifield By KO, TKO or DQ is both one of the sharpest and most popular bets on the board. It’s receiving 75% of the bets and an astonishing 86% of the handle at -143. And it could get worse before the bell: Menifield’s last four fights haven’t even made it to Round 2.

Jussier Formiga and Alex Perez are two veteran flyweights that fight in an experienced style. Neither have statistics that are particularly active, and they might be just settling in for a long 15 minutes of dancing and minimal contact. Both of them have more than half their wins go to the cards, and this one seems destined for a longer ring time. Grabbing both Perez at +175 to win by decision (receiving 32% of bets and 66% of action right now) as well as Formiga at +180 and hoping the finish the fight might have some value.

Cody Stamann is -139 to win via decision over Brian Kelleher, but that might be undervaluing his stopping power. He’s +650 to win by KO/TKO/DQ, and +1100 for a submission victory. Yes, his last four wins have come via the cards, but he’s shown an ability to win quickly in the past. A small flyer on each of the early stoppages might have some value in a fight he should win as a -275 favorite on the money line.

The future of the light heavyweight division could be on display when undefeated Alonzo Menifield takes on Devin Clark at UFC 250 on Saturday, June 6th in Las Vegas.

Menifield is 9-0 as an MMA fighter, all nine have been by stoppage, and eight of those are by TKO. He got to the UFC after an eight second (yes, you read that right) win over Dashawn Boatright in Dana White’s Contender Series, and they touched gloves first! He’s yet to see the second minute of the second round once in his career, and he looks like a terror.

Devin Clark is 11-4 in MMA, and has alternated wins and losses in his last seven fights in the UFC. He only has four stoppages for wins in his career, and his last fight was a win over Dequan Townsend on February 15th. We’ve got a look at pricing to open the week.

UFC is back this Saturday with its second PPV since resuming its schedule amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. UFC 250 will take place in Las Vegas the organization’s Apex facility, with the early preliminary card getting started just after 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

This weekend’s card is headlined by a women’s featherweight title bout between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Felicia Spencer. We also get a pair of men’s bantamweight contender matchups. Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen face off in the penultimate fight of the underdcard, and Raphal Assuncao and Cody Garbrandt are the final fight before the main event.

DraftKings is back for another weekend of MMA DFS, and UFC 250 brings with it a Millionaire contest. For $25, you draft 6 fighters for a chance at $1 million and a chance to compete at the Fantasy Tournament of Champions during Super Bowl weekend for another $1 million prize.

We’ve listed out the prices below, along with fantasy performance per fight, and will break down the best options later in the week. Right off the bat, Sandhagen offers some decent value. He’s averaged the second most fantasy points per fight, but at $8,000 is the 12th most expensive fighter. He’s a slight underdog to Sterling, installed by DraftKings Sportsbook at -106 to Sterling’s -118. It’s a gamble, but not a huge roll of the dice compared to other fighters on the card.

We’ll be back later in the week with more to help you get ready for the Millionaire contest.
