The UFC is back for one more event at its Las Vegas Apex facility this Saturday, June 27th. UFC on ESPN 12 gets going at 5 p.m. ET, with the main card slated to start at approximately 8 p.m. ET. The main card includes a middleweight bout between 13th ranked Brendan Allen and unranked Kyle Daukaus. Allen was originally slated to fight Ian Heinisch, but the latter had to withdraw earlier this week due to injury.
Allen is a heavy favorite against the newcomer Daukaus, and is on a roll heading into the fight. He’s 14-3 and has won six straight fights. Most recently he defeated Tom Breese via first round TKO at UFC Fight Night 169 in February. 13 of his 14 career MMA fights have featured a stoppage.
Daukaus is making his UFC debut after compiling a 9-0 record in various promotions dating back to 2017. Most recently he submitted Nolan Norwood in the second round of CFFC 81 in February. He won a fight in Dana White’s Contender Series a year ago January with a unanimous decision victory over Michael Lombardo. He’s unbeaten as a pro, but had a 5-4 amateur record.
