The UFC is headed to Abu Dhabi in a couple weeks, but before then, the organization will close out its recent run of Las Vegas Apex events on Saturday, June 27th. UFC on ESPN 12 gets underway at 5 p.m. ET, with the main card starting at approximately 8 p.m.
The first fight of the main card features a catchweight bout between Sean Woodson and Julian Erosa at 150 pounds. Woodson was slated to face Canadian Kyle Nelson, but visa issues resulted in the latter having to back out.
Woodson is 7-0 in his four-year MMA career. He is coming off his first victory in UFC, claiming a unanimous decision againstKyle Bochniak at UFC on ESPN 6 last October. He earned his sport in UFC with a win in Dana White’s Contender Series program. He has four decisions, one KO, one TKO, and one submission making up his seven wins.
Erosa comes in as a replacement with a 22-8 record, but has never won a UFC fight, outside of a 2015 Ultimate Fighter win. His last three fights are all UFC losses, with the most recent coming a year ago May at UFC Fight Night 152 in which he suffered a third-round knockout loss to Julio Arce.
