UFC Fight Night on ESPN is back on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi tonight, Wednesday, July 15th. The card is headlined by a battle of featherweights in Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige, with a match between flyweights Tim Elliott and Ryan Benoit the other featured bout.
There are five fights on the main card and six on the preliminary card. We’ll be tracking all the results tonight, providing the winner and how they secured their victory, and adding some gifs and video where we can. Follow along throughout the evening!
Jack Shore vs. Aaron Phillips - Bantamweight
Winner: Jack Shore
Winning Method: Jack Shore wins by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:29 of the second round.
It’s the seventh rear-naked victory for the rising star from Wales, who now moves to 13-0 in his MMA career. A flawless, efficient performance, and Phillips never had a chance. He dealt 48 strikes with 80% accuracy, and had 5:25 of control time as well.

Diana Belbita vs. Liana Jouja - Women’s Flyweight
Winner: Liana Jouja
Winning Method: Liana Jouja wins by submission (armbar) at 2:43 of the first round.
A huge tactical mistake from Belbita, who was dominating on her feet from distance early before she decided to execute a takedown. Full credit to her for not tapping earlier, but we might have an injured arm here.
It’s Jojua’s fifth career armbar victory.
Jared Gordon vs. Chris Fishgold - Featherweight
Winner: Jared Gordon
Winning Method: Jared Gordon wins by unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26).
A completely dominating performance from “Flash” Gordon, and the outcome was never in doubt. Fishgold missed weight by three pounds, and didn’t perform well tonight. His UFC status going forward is likely in jeopardy.
Modestas Bukauskas vs. Andreas Michailidis - Light Heavyweight
Winner: Modestas Bukauskas
Winning Method: Modestas Bukauskas wins by TKO at 5:00 of the first round.
A flurry of elbows to the head by Bukauskas at the end of the round clearly scored, but Michailidis being unable to steady himself behind an opened cage door is why it was called. Unusual timing for sure, but Bukauskas clearly dominated the first round.
Ricardo Ramos vs. Lerone Murphy - Featherweight
Winner: Lerone Murphy
Winning Method: Lerone Murphy wins by TKO at 4:18 of the first round.
As soon as Ramos hit the mat, it was over. Murphy actually stood up out of the guard, but didn’t back up and let Ramos up. He snuck in a right hand, and it stopped Ramos’ ability to defend himself. An easy stoppage and a very impressive performance for the Englisman.
John Phillips vs. Khazmat Chimaev - Middleweight
Winner: Khazmat Chimaev
Winning Method: Khazmat Chimaev wins by submission (D’Arce choke) at 1:12 of the second round.
A flawless performance by the UFC newcomer, who is now 7-0 in MMA. The total strikes thrown were 124-2, and two perfect takedowns from the Swede gave him full control at all times. A very impressive debut for a fighter that has never needed the judges in his career.
Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Mounir Lazzez - Welterweight
Winner: Mounir Lazzez
Winning Method: Mounir Lazzez wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
The fight of the night so far for sure. Lazzez wins on significant strikes 90-56 and on takedowns 4-1, but both guys showed real talent on their feet with fists, knees, and kicks. The reach of Lazzez, and the ability to survive an early onslaught from Alhassan, were the difference. It’s a shame Alhassan missed weight, otherwise he’d be eligible for a bonus even in a loss here.
Molly McCann vs. Talia Santos - Women’s Flyweight
Winner: Talia Santos
Winning Method: Talia Santos wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
A really impressive performance from Santos, who was superior both on her feet and with total control on the mat. She won on significant strikes 70-56, but her 7:53 of ground control to :56 for McCann was the difference. It was never in doubt.
Jimmie Rivera vs. Cody Stamann - Featherweight
Winner: Jimmie Rivera
Winning Method: Jimmie Rivera wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
Rivera wasn’t even supposed to be here eight days ago, instead he walks out with a huge win. He won on significant strikes 48-26, and repelled four of five takedown attempts. Stamann actually had more ground control with 4:25 in charge, but Rivera was the deserving winner.
Tim Elliott vs. Ryan Benoit - Flyweight
Winner: Tim Elliott
Winning Method: Tim Elliott wins by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
It was a bit of a closer fight than you might see, but Elliott won the first two rounds and held on through the third. He landed 12 more strikes, 67-55, and won on ground control 2:42-0:22 as well.
Calvin Kattar vs. Dan Ige - Featherweight
Winner: Calvin Kattar
Winning Method: Calvin Kattar wins by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47).
Kattar lands more significant strikes (105-84), and his reach was a big factor in the fight. He also had the only takedown in the fight, while defending all nine shot attempts from Ige. It had some moments, but not the most exciting fight. Ige also had a face like ground beef during the post-fight interview.
