Update 4:05 p.m.: It appears most of the late money has come in on the favored Whittaker as we get closer to fight time. Here are the updated money line bet splits:

Paul Craig: Opened -112, now -137 (83% of handle, 69% of bets)
Gadzhimurad Antigulov: Opened -112, now +110 (17% of handle, 31% of bets)

A winning method table below is also added.

Paul Craig and Gadzhimurad Antigulov opened as a dead-even fight according to the oddsmakers for UFC on ESPN 14 tonight on Fight Island, but the Scotsman Craig has been getting most of the action, and is now a decent-sized favorite heading into tonight’s action.

Craig is 4-4-1 in the UFC but undefeated outside of it, with 11 of his 12 career wins via submission. “Bearjew” is 32 years of age out of Coatbridge and has one of the most interesting career stat lines in the promotion: Just 2.33 strikes per minute with a 21% accuracy rating on his 1.65 takedowns. But his last fight in November of last year against fellow competitor on Saturday’s card Mauricio “Shogun” Rua was the first time he ever needed the scorecards in what was a split decision draw.

Antigulov is 33 that doesn’t fight for a long time, but a good time. His 20-6 record has used judging only once, and 15 of his victories are via submission. During his last eight fights, he’s seen the second round just once. He had six wins in a row until losing his last two to Ion Cutelaba and Michal Oleksiejczuk. He’s 2-2 in the UFC, but has spent only 8:37 fighting in the octagon.

Although the action is coming in on Craig, the fantasy play here is Antigulov or pass. In his two UFC wins he scored 99 and 98 DFS points. The losses? 24 points combined.

This might be quick, and if Antigulov does win, you’ll likely need to have him on your roster. You can live without Craig most likely, but even as a slight underdog the Russian is a must have for a winning combination if he ends this early.
