Update 4:15 p.m.: Just 45 minutes before the start of the card, the bets have barely moved on this fight.

Khamzat Chimaev: Opened -1000, now -1250 (73% of handle, 87% of bets)
Rhys McKee: Opened +600, now +700 (27% of handle, 13% of bets)

Only one man might win twice on the UFC’s Fight Island, and that’s because Khamzat Chimaev was last in the octagon last Wednesday. And he gets back in the cage tonight against Rhys McKee at UFC on ESPN 14, only 10 days after his first UFC victory.

Chimaev is 7-0 as an MMA fighter, and has yet to see the third round in his career with three KO’s and four submissions. The 26-year-old from Sweden dominated in his win over John Phillips last week with a total strikes landed advantage of 124-2. His two perfect takedowns gave him full control at all times. And to the delight of Dana White, he decided to do it again before he even left the bubble of Yas Island.

McKee is by far the biggest underdog on any of the four Fight Island cards. “Skeletor” is 10-2-1 with all 10 victories coming via stoppage. It’s the UFC debut for the Northern Irishman, who had won three straight in the Cage Warriors promotion before getting the call from Dana White. But the oddsmakers are basically telling him to make sure his will is up-to-date.

Here are the latest betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Khamzat Chimaev vs Rhys McKee at UFC Fight Night from Fight Island on July 25th:

Money line odds with betting splits

Khamzat Chimaev: Opened -1000, now -1250 (74% of handle, 88% of bets)

DraftKings DFS Salaries

Here are the DraftKings DFS salaries for Khamzat Chimaev vs Rhys McKee tonight:

Khamzat Chimaev: $9,800
Rhys McKee: $6,400

Chimaev was technically overwhelming last week in scoring 107.5 DFS points in a second-round stoppage, but he’s getting an experienced newcomer in McKee here. Cage Warriors is the best promotion in Europe, so he’ll have faced decent competition.

But Chimaev looked like the next great welterweight, and he’ll have the advantage of knowing his surroundings much better than his opponent having just gone through the experience of fighting with no fans last week. It’s a big tax to pay, but Chimaev needs to be on some rosters tonight. He did it via submission last week, but it could just as easily be from his feet this time.
