Two UFC veterans in search of respect at middleweight slug it out when Alessio Di Chirico faces Zak Cummings live from UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Di Chirico is from Rome, Italy, entering with a 12-4 record in MMA and a 3-4 mark in the UFC. With losses to Kevin Holland and Makhmud Muradov in his only two fights of 2019, “Manzo” could certainly use a win here to keep his UFC status as part of the roster. He has nine stoppages (five KO/TKO, four submissions) in his 12 career wins, but only one in the UFC, and lands 3.20 strikes per minute and 1.95 takedowns per 15-minute fight.

Cummings often plays gatekeeper and is a favorite of the promotion. With an 8-4 career record in the UFC and at 23-7 overall, he has 12 submission wins and five knockouts on his resume. The 36-year-old from Springfield, Missouri needs to keep winning to earn a shot at the Top 15 rankings anytime soon as he lands just 2.47 strikes per minute, and 0.75 takedowns, but those numbers belie his activity as he has five finishes in his eight UFC wins.

Here are the betting odds and bet splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Alessio Di Chirico vs. Zak Cummings at UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas on August 29th.

Betting splits

Alessio Di Chirico: -118 (45% of action, 29% of bets)
Zak Cummings: -106 (55% of action, 71% of bets)

Here are the DraftKings DFS salaries for Alessio Di Chirico vs. Zak Cummings tonight:

DraftKings DFS Salaries

Alessio Di Chirico: $7,800
Zak Cummings: $8,400

Cummings is favored here with good reason, but for fantasy purposes he’s a terrible bet. Even in his last two wins, he only averaged 71.5 DFS points. That’s not nearly enough for a fighter when they’re going home victorious, where you’re looking for triple digits at minimum. This is likely a fight to avoid as both combatants just don’t score DFS points due to their style.
