What betting splits, DFS advice tell us about Weaver vs. Turner at UFC Fight Night

We break down the last-minute bet splits and make some DFS picks for Brok Weaver vs. Jalin Turner at UFC Vegas 10 on ESPN+.

A scheduled fight between Brok Weaver and Frank Camacho was altered as the latter tested positive for Covid-19. So Jalin Turner steps in to fight Weaver, with the bout happening at a 165-pound catchweight, five short of the normal 170 limit at welterweight.

The 6-foot-3, 25-year-old Turner is 9-5 in his UFC career. With eight knockouts, Turner packs a nasty punch, rarely getting his fights finish with a decision. This will be a huge fight for Turner as he’s 2-2 in his last four, but he’s a monster statistically averaging 5.95 strikes per minute and 3.91 takedowns per 15 minutes.

As for Brok Weaver, he’ll enter as the underdog, but he is the more experienced fighter so that could bode well for the 28-year-old. Weaver is 15-5 in his career, 1-1 in the UFC, and the bulk of his fights have finished in decisions. Prior to dropping his last bout to Roosevelt Roberts, Weaver had won eight straight fights.

Here are the latest betting odds at at DraftKings Sportsbook for Brok Weaver vs. Jalin Turner at UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas on September 12th:

Betting splits

Brok Weaver: -360
Jalin Turner: +275

DraftKings DFS Salaries

Brok Weaver: $8,400
Jalin Turner: $6,800

Turner is quite an underdog here, but from a DFS perspective he might have big value. His stats are very strong across four fights, and Weaver hasn’t show much stopping power in his career. But Weaver also is priced so far below market value because of his opponent being a replacement.

However there are two other replacements on the card as well, and neither have an opponent with Turner’s pedigree. This seems unusual considering Weaver is a bargain as well, but we like Turner for value and so we can get some of the pricier main card fighters on our roster too.
