Two welterweights in need of a win face off at UFC Vegas 10 Saturday when Bryan Barberena enters the octagon with Anthony Ivy from the Apex facility just South of the Las Vegas Strip.
Barberena is 14-7 in MMA, 5-5 in the UFC, and has lost his last two outings. It’s been over a year since he’s stepped in the octagon, but the Minneapolis native is incredibly active with 5.65 significant strikes per minute in his promotion career. The 33-year-old wins on his feet, with 10 KO/TKO’s and two submissions on his resume, and his absorbing 5.00 strikes per minute means he isn’t afraid to let his fists fly.
Ivy was knocked out by Christian Aguliera in 59 seconds on June 13th of this year for his UFC debut. The former Fury FC and World Extreme Cagefighting participant is 8-3 career with all wins by stoppage, five by KO and three by submission. “Aquaman” is 30-years-old fights out of Brazilian Top Team in San Antonio..
