UFC 261 has three title fights in Jacksonville from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena this Saturday. The five-bout main card gets started at 10:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 24th and the first of the three title fights on the card is for the the women’s flyweight championship between the holder Valentina Shevchenko and challenger Jessica Andrade.
Only one person has been able to stop Shevchenko in the last 11 years, and that’s Amanda Nunes who has beaten her twice by decision. Otherwise Shevchenko is one of the most dominant athletes in MMA, with a 20-3 overall record and 13-straight non-Nunes wins.
Somehow Andrade is getting a title shot despite losing two of her last three fights, including one to the strawweight challenger on tonight’s card in Rose Namajunas. “Bate Estaca” Andrade is 12-6 as a UFC competitor, and won the belt from Namajunas in 2019. She fell to Weili Zhang in her next bout.
Right now at DraftKings Sportsbook, Valentina Shevchenko is listed as a -435 favorite, which makes Andrade a +325 underdog.
The full event will get started with the early prelims at 5:45 p.m. ET, followed by the prelims at 8:00 p.m. The main card for UFC 261 will be live streamed on ESPN+ PPV, which will cost $69.99 for the full card.
