UFC is back for UFC 265 getting underway Saturday evening from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The early preliminary card gets underway at 6:00 p.m. ET and will air on UFC Fight Pass. That is followed by the four-fight preliminary card at 8:00 p.m. on ESPN & ESPN+.

The main card for the event is scheduled to get started at 10:00 p.m. and will be available for purchase through ESPN+ PPV. The card is headlined by Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane in a UFC heavyweight interim title.

The title fight is estimated to get going at just after midnight, according to UFC projections. The main card starts at 10 p.m., so it will depend somewhat on how long the first four fights go, and then how long ring entrances with pomp and circumstance is for the title fights. But just after midnight on the east coast is probably a safe bet.

UFC President Dana White decided to follow boxing’s lead to some extent with Saturday’s main event. Francis Ngannou is the current heavyweight champion and is not in danger of having his title stripped. White decided UFC needed an interim title for the heavyweight division and will have Lewis and Gane doing battle for it. Ngannou is not happy about it, but will probably face the winner. White wants to call it a unification bout, but you can decide for yourself what to make of it.
